General Description
Clera.One’s chemical-free water recycling system enables the elimination of the finest particles, not yet removed in previous steps for water re-use.
Its innovative membrane allows a high-water permeation and flow while maintaining low pressure, with membrane pores adjustable down to 0.1 µm.
An ozone generator disinfects the membranes and prevents fouling. Clera.One’s device retains > 80% of microplastic particles and enables 70% wastewater reuse.

Target Litter:
Savinja – The litter targeted by Clera.One’s system is microplastics, down to 0.1 µm, from the outlet stream of a MWWTP, that will be collected via ultra micro filtration and eliminated. The system is going to be used in combination with other technologies, with the full sequence of treatments targeting plastics from 5 mm to 10 nm.
Douro – The litter targeted is microplastics (5 mm to 0.1 µm) in marinas and shipyards waste streams, to remove them before they can enter the river. - INSPIRE Use Cases: Douro, Savinja
